- AVG is an excellent and FREE Anti-virus product. Highly recommended if you don't have an anti-virus program.
- Avast Anti-virus
- Avast is another really great, totally free, anti-virus program that is comparable to AVG.
- ClamWin
- ClamWin is an effective Open Source (free) Anti-virus program for Windows.
- Trend Micro Housecall
- This site, from Trend Micro, will scan your computer via the Internet to help you identify viruses. It will not always be able to clean them. It is only to be used as a diagnostic tool.
- Norton Antivirus Updates
- Norton Antivirus must be frequently updated in order to keep your system free of viruses. It is comparable to getting a new "10 most wanted" list. The above link will take you to the Norton updates page.
- McAfee VirusScan Updates
- McAfee VirusScan must be updated frequently. There are new viruses discovered daily. Be sure to visit their site often for warnings about new viruses and updates. Microsoft Security Essentials
