Our Cattle Drives start around the end of May each year, depending on the spring weather. Our first drive is from our winter range on the Ranch to spring range on the National Forest. We are moving cattle periodically throughout the summer to different grazing locations within the National Forest. A typical drive could vary from moving just a few cattle, to as many as 300 to 400 at a time. A drive can be from five to ten miles in a single day. As these cattle drives are real and meaningful moves, our guests are limited to a maximum of six during any single drive. For those desiring to bring their own horses, feed and corrals are provided. |
While
Greenwich Creek Ranch is an everyday working ranch, our Bed and Breakfast
guests enjoy this peaceful setting in our new sleeping accommodations.
The meals are prepared completely in a country/ranch style. While
some of our guests enjoy relaxing at the ranch, others explore the
National Parks and Monuments just a short distance away. The fishing
in nearby creeks, streams
and reservoirs will both test and reward any and all fishermen. Many
trails and hikes await those who like to enjoy the real outdoors.
A complete 200-mile ATV trail passes through the Ranch into the nearby
Monroe and Fishlake Mountains. |
Greenwich Creek Ranch is located two miles south of Koosharem, which is nestled between the Fishlake and Monroe Mountains. The Ranch is
located at the east base of Monroe Mountain, where Greenwich Creek flows.
Highway 62 is the main North/South route through our valley. The Ranch is
approximately a one-hour drive from both Bryce Canyon and Capital Reef National
Parks. Zion National Park is approximately two and one-half hours away.
Salt Lake City is three hours and Las Vegas is five. The closest nearby
city for shopping is Richfield, which is only thirty minutes away and the
nearest commercial airport is in Cedar City, one and one-half hours away.
