Utah's Color Country
Escalante State Park

Located one mile west of Escalante on Scenic Byway 12, Escalante State Park is a showcase of colorful petrified wood and dinosaur bones. Two trails take you through vast deposits of petrified wood; some pieces are nearly five feet wide.
